About

I’m a graphic designer/digital artist known as Pixie Eudora and this project is a statement against the stereotypical portrayal of women’s bodies and the excessive objectification and idealisation that dictate our dress, behaviour, and aspirations. Using my ‘girly fairies/angels,’ I aim to challenge the sanitised images of women found in popular culture, spanning from Disney movies to classic fairy tales. By infusing a vibrant psychedelic style and exaggerated femininity, I add a touch of satire to these fragile figures, turning delicate female sculptures into symbols of empowerment and defiance. This playful reinterpretation of cuteness, paired with cybernetic distortions, aims to disrupt conventional standards. The use of nostalgic imagery and digital software from the 90s and early 2000s with a hyper feminine twist gives a reimagined look of the cyber world that has been dominated by men. This website is designed based on real women’s stories of femininity

The interactive element of my art encourages viewers to explore a website, immersing themselves in the world of my angels. By engaging with the site through clicks and exploration, the deeper themes gradually come to light. Through questions, phrases, and brief videos, the innocent imagery of angelic beings transforms into a source of empowerment, self-assurance, and self-expression. Influences from artists like Molly Soda, Judy Chicago, and Amalia Ulman can be seen in the visual references of my work.
